Broadcast station licensees are required to afford equal employment opportunity

meet these requirements may result in sanctions or license renewal being
delayed or denied. These requirements are contained in 47 C.F.R. Section
73.2080 and are authorized by the Communications Act of 1934, as amended.

The purpose of this document is to provide broadcast licensees, the FCC, and
the public with information about whether the station is meeting equal
employment opportunity requirements.
General Policy
A broadcast station must provide equal employment opportunity to all
qualified individuals without regard to their race, color, national origin,
religion or sex in all personnel actions including recruitment, evaluation,
selection, promotion, compensation, training and termination.

For the period August 1, 2010, THROUGH July 31, 2011, WQUB filled no job
vacancies as defined by the EEO Rules.
B. Outreach activities during
period
WQUB utilizes education Internships to recruit Quincy University students to train
in the station. Nine students have participated at WQUB in technical or
production training by the end of July 2011.
WQUB hosted an Open House to the
community at large.
WQUB regularly provides tours for potential student employees and interns.
WQUB participated in the Quincy University Job Faire and was a sponsor for the
following community events: The 8th Annual Midsummer Arts Faire and
the 16th Annual Gardening Conference.
WQUB supports and promotes the following local non-profit
businesses: The Quincy Community Theatre, Quincy University, The Quincy Civic
Music Association, The Quincy Symphony Orchestra, John Wood Community College,
Culver-Stockton College, Blessing Health Systems, The Quincy Art Center, and
The University of Illinois Extension.
C. Narrative Statement
WQUB ENDEAVORS IN EVERY CASE TO HIRE THE BEST PERSON POSSIBLE FOR ANY POSITION
THAT BECOMES AVAILABLE. OUR HIRING PROCESS IS INCLUSIVE, AND INTENDED TO MAKE
CLEAR TO ALL POTENTIAL APPLICANTS THAT THEIR APPLICATION WILL BE TAKEN AT FACE
VALUE. WHEN SEEKING APPLICANTS, WE USE ALL AVENUES TO REACH PEOPLE WHO ARE
SEEKING EMPLOYMENT. THIS HAS INCLUDED USING OUR OWN AIR; NEWSPAPER ADS IN 'JOB'
SECTIONS; THE WQUB WEB SITE; THE QUINCY UNIVERSITY WEB SITE;THE CPB JOB SERVICE
WEB SITE AS WELL AS MINORITY JOB SERVICES AS DETAILED IN THE FILE. ALL JOB
PLACEMENTS ARE HANDLED THROUGH THE QUINCY UNIVERSITY HUMAN RESOURCES
DEPARTMENT.
